Carmel Cottage

The couple from the East Coast had a Carmel vacation cottage which was too small for their retirement. The couple purchased a double lot with a historic cottage and landmark trees which the City of Carmel wanted to preserve in perpetuity.

Ray Parks and Associates was commissioned as the architect to satisfy the historic standards within the Interior Secretaries guidelines, gain approval from the City of Carmel and design a home to meet the owner’s expectations for a comfortable retirement. The interior of the home is organized around an open central core to capture the views and display their art collection.
