Restoration Of Hansel

Carmel has a long architectural history of summer cottages and cabins. The most famous Carmel cottages are Hugh Comstock’s Hansel and Gretel which were actually built for Mayotta, Comstock’s wife, to house her doll collection. Ray Parks and Associates worked with the property owner, local craftsmen and the City of Carmel to restore the Hansel cottage to its original condition. The cottage was sold and remains in its original condition.
