Clint Eastwood and James Garner donated 350 acres of prime Carmel Valley land to the Monterey County Housing Authority for Moderate Income Housing to help local seniors remain within their Carmel community. Over one hundred proposals were considered and ultimately Ray Parks and Associates were selected to design the Community Master Plan and for 200 seniors.
The project was completed on time and on budget and the Monterey County Housing Authority awarded Ray Parks architect their meritorious service award for his involvement in the community project. Ray Parks was the first architect to receive this award in the fifty year history of the authorities’ service to Monterey County.
The project also received a National Planning award for its unique pedestrian bridges which allowed the seniors to increase their mobility and social interaction with each other.
